There are some mountain passes you have to ride as a racing cyclist in your life. These include the Stilfser Joch, the "Passo dello Stelvio", the highest pass road in Italy.
Prad am Stilfser Joch and Camping Kiefernhain are recommended for the entrance to the pass.

THE RIDE starts every year at the beginning of June with over 300 participants from the camping site in 8 stages to the StilfserjochPass and de Cauberg. 1300 kilometres/ 17000 altitude metres/ 8 stages/ 8 countries

Prad lies at 910 m altitude in the upper Vinschgau. From there it is 24.96 km and 1,848 m altitude difference to Passo Stelvio. The Stilfserjoch Tour (2757m) is one of the most popular racing cycle tracks, which is particularly impressive due to its 2,000m altitude. The 200 years old pass road is scenically very impressive.

Ideally one starts as early as possible in the morning hours. Around this time of the year, several cyclists have the same idea in the summer season and gather in the small village. The anyway manageable car traffic increases only in the course of the morning. The road to the yoke belongs to the cyclists. After conquering the Stilfser Joch, the route continues over the Umbrailpass (which is partly not asphalted, but is well passable) to Santa Maria/Müstair and through the Münstertal back to Prad.
